Just Saying Hello and Wishing Elknut the best!

Postby BB » 07 21, 2012 •  [Post 1]

Howdy Paul. This is BB from the Bowsite. Since you require at least 3 letters for a handle, I just spelled out what BB stands for (buglinbilly)

Anyway I just wanted to stop by and say hello and wish you the best.

To all your visitors, who are reading this, I just want to say that I have known Paul for many years now and he is one class guy and really knows his stuff when it comes to elk.

And to you Paul, I wish you the best on your new venture. If there is anything I can ever do to help, just let me know.

And for the rest of you elk nuts, hopefully you will enjoy a few elk photos.

I guess I don't know how to post photos to this site, but hopefully the direct link will work. Good luck to all of you this season. Bill Allard

Nice photos BB, .That last one is a very familiar sight. Being the shooter and caller for over 35 years, I have had a lot of bulls come in just like that and I would not shoot even at 10 yds. I know some guys do and have had success, but to many horror stories of lost bulls from that shot. Thanks for shareing. ;)

Good to see you on the forum BB. As you will see there are a interesting hunters camped here. I think most pretty much tell the truth except when they describe the size of the bull they killed a few years ago. With those stories, as usual, demand a picture. Best wishes.

HI Paul, just wanted to drop by and say hello, and of course, you know me, I can't make a post with a photo or two. (grin)

I wish you well on your site and give you my best wishes. You were always one of the stand up guys on the Bowsite. I always enjoyed your posts and your information. I hated to see you leave, as you added so much to the site. I really don't visit my old sites much any more, with the exception of a few photography sites. But I will drop in every once in a while and drop a photo on you guys if that's okay. Take care and again, best wishes.

I used to spend a lot of time hunting elk in Wyoming and a lot of time hunting deer and bear in the Bookcliffs and in each case as I chased elk I would see a few antelope and a few bear. And the last time I hunted deer in the Books, I even saw a few bison. So will post a few different critter photos, just so you guys that love to hunt elk, learn to appreciate all the critters we see and not only the ones we pursue.

I have a question for you Bill. I made a new knife and a good friend engraved it for me. The blade is highly polished and when I try to photograph it, I get too much glare and it makes it hard to see the quality of the engraving. Do you have any suggestions that would help solve the glare problem. I'd sure like to show it to the guys here.
