Yesterday Montana Fish, Wildlife, & Parks approved a proposal to change the border of a hunting unit. This is big news for me because it opens up hunting opportunities in an area I have a massive amount of experience in. I submitted positive public comment supporting the proposal and have been chomping at the bit for months waiting for this news. I can honestly say I know every hump, stump, and rock for miles around in the area and have killed countless bulls there. The area has gone unhunted for all practical purposes for the past 4 years!!! I will only book 2 groups of gun hunters and two for bow so if anyone is looking for a place to hunt this is your chance to nail down a heck of a spot to hunt elk this season.

For those who aren't familiar with my services I offer hunt plans for DIY elk hunters in Montana & Wyoming. I include all of the information needed to put my hunters in good elk country. Directions from your home to the parking area. Locations to camp both at your truck as well as packing in. Details on where you can expect to find elk. I provide topo maps with prime areas marked including game trails, water sources, and any other info I know within a given area and plans A, B, & C on how to hunt it. Also information on other logistics such as taxidermists and beetle cleaners, where to get dry ice, hotels if needed, meat processors etc. I also offer as much support as you want and hunters can email or call as much as they want with questions and even call in the middle of a hunt if you need some spur of the moment advice. Ultimately your success depends on you but I do anything and everything I can to do my part to make it happen.

March 15th is the deadline for Montana license applications. Odds are 100% so your elk tag is guaranteed. I assist my clients with license applications.

I've had a few people comment that western Montana & Wyoming is a far drive. My response to that is: The longest drive no matter where you hunt is the one home without an elk!
