Days sitting one stand

After a very tough year sitting a wallow in a tree stand, how many days do you sit in one spot? Sounds like swede has multiple sights to sit. I had one wallow get hammered two years in a row, and had to try the stand after calling ego getting crushed last year. This year (with me there several days of the season) usage was about 10% of previous years. I was in a treestand below the wallow. Three main trails were from above the wallow two side hill and one directly above, one from below but didn't appear to be used as much. I never heard anything that was close enough that I could here them if they winded me. Stayed off trails and didn't go to the wallow when entering...tried to be extra careful and quiet. Will just sitting one spot kill the area eventually, or will punching the clock eventually give you a shot if it's a great location?

I have 5-6 stands up, so I move around quite a bit and assess different spots. I generally sit in one stand no more than 3-4 days in a row, then I have to check my other locations. Often I sit in one stand in the AM and sit in a different one in the PM. Maybe that is how I deal with my restless side. It also gives me a chance to review my trail cameras and look for fresh sign around my stands.

I don't have a lot of experience hunting elk from a treestand. But I know when I WT hunt, I hunt different stands almost daily. Helps keep them fresh and my mind fresh with differing scenery. Sometimes if I am limited on time, I hunt stands which are a short walk. This leaves my deeper stands for weekends when I have more time to hike.
