A year of anticipation for the Colorado Elk Hunting season is now upon us. For me and 12 bowhunters, that means the start of #ELKTOUR 2, our All Colorado Archery Elk Hunting Film.

But before opening day, as a father and husband, I had other more important things to do.

Last week of summer vacation for our kids.

Swimming in the pool.

Summertime fun.

Grandparents in town.

Laughs.

Family get together.

Fun.

2 1st Days of school in a new school.

Excitement.

Trip to Estes Park.

Scenery.

Fort Collins Museum of Discovery.

Learning.

Business meetings.

Hunting Film Festival.

Dance Class.

Pure joy.

Soccer Practice.

“He’s gonna be a socca playa”

Dinner on the town.

Breakfast at Silvermine

Nourishment.

New Treadmill for wife.

Therapy and exercise.

Lots of pictures.

Tons of great memories.

So with the anticipation of hunting season around the corner, it’s a great reminder for us to remember what’s most important in our lives other than our great passion for the outdoors.

Life goes by faster than you think.
