Fireworks in Colorado

Postby elkohalic » 06 29, 2012 •  [Post 1]

I hope that after next week, the 4th of July week, all of Colorado isn't on fire. I don't know why, but I'm really concerned about it this year, I hope everyone will play safely this year. With all the beetle kill and dry weather and the already on going fires this could be bad !

I'm surprised the state hasn't banned them this year already given the current conditions and existing fires.

CO needs to ban fireworks state wide this year. I'm all for celebrating and I live fireworks but CO is in a state of emergency or it should be!!

I spend every other week in Colorado and there is a fire ban state wide and numerous freeway signs stating that fireworks a banned in the local areas. www.nfic.gov shows all the fires everywhere. Montana is actually worse than Colorado right now with more fires and more acres burned.
