Aspen and pine and no worthless cattle. Good start. Where is the wallow? What is killing the pine? Root disease? If you are thinking about setting up a tree stand there, cut down any snag that could fall on it, before you hang the stand. Those dead pine can be a real head ache if you get my drift.

Swede
Colorado has suffered a loss of millions of acres due to Pine Beetle.
Most of the trees are bare of needles and standing like skeletons.
They break over at any given time - wind or no wind.

Makes for dangerous times

Keep looking at the pic, I know your eyes are older than mine, but not old :)

I see a horizontal line that catches my eye.......is it a elk or deer or just my eyes playing tricks?

I saw the same thing as GetemDuck.. Bobcat perhaps? Also, the skinny poles stacked inthe lower left of the picture could be a cubby set for bobcat (normally used during winter to keep snow off of trap).. The bobcat has pulled the drag to the top of the scene and is waiting for your visit and .22 short :)....

This is a spot we have named "Candy Land'
We have shot many elk here

Nice going guys... anything else?

So far there are 2 elk, maybe a bull and what I believe is a Sasquatch that GetemDuck found

I'd be carefull about charging that critter just yet. GetemDuck did a great job filtering that object into focus using advanced technology but...... it may just be our very own elkmtngear sitting behind his latest and greatest Slip System, waiting to nock an arrow.. Approach with caution... if real, I've heard those creatures can be highly dangerous 8-)

I have told you folks, I have lousy vision. It was the second picture, with a circle in it, before I saw the deer, if that is what it is. It was the fifth picture before I saw sasquatch standing there peeing. I sure need new glasses or new eyes.

Getemduck, It does not matter. Those critters can be a big problem. They have spoiled more good hunts than anything else I know of.

The tags for the one in the camo 2 piece are very, very expensive. I'm still paying for the one I was married to a long time ago! :o
Brad my eyes are not as sharp as they used to be, but I swear I see dark forks of antlers and the neck/shoulder in the middle of the picture.

First:
Thanks for playing along on the thread guys, its nothing but fun :)

There are just 2 elk in the pic, the 'horizontal line' on the left, and the white butt of another further back on the right.

The branch in the middle does indeed look like an antler, but not so

These 2 elk were the end of a small herd we got up on, but as it happens, nothing materialized.
