Guess the elk sound # 5

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 06 23, 2012 •  [Post 1]

Was down over the bank below my house recording an adjusted "bugle with chuckles", based on Elknut's recommendation (shorten the bugle before the chuckles) and decided to record this... What is this elk sound? Having some fun now :D

On the mark Josh.. I used this exact same sound last year on two different bulls. It worked both times equally well... With the smallish 5X, he came a bit closer but I was pinned down by his huge harem of 3 cows :).. no shot. The second time it was with a very nice 6X that came out a bit when I screamed, thrashed, and offered some pleading cow sounds (help, help, he's taking me from you) but again, I wasn't in a position to shoot. It was my late adventure trip back to MT solo. RJ
