Added technology for the hunt

Postby Lefty » 02 02, 2013 •  [Post 1]

What technologies are you using on the hunt that have made a differance for you

I wasnt able to draw the bow I had as a13 yeqar old kid; a Herters 43# recurve
Sights are kind of nice,.. beats stick pins and masking tape
I plan to add lighted nocks next fall
Anyone use clarifiers?

What I need is an elevtronic ranger and sight combo

Well I guess a new hip joint next month will make a difference for me too :?

Rangefinder & GPS are the only two I have, I wouldn't hunt without either!

I use a range finder and GPS. The GPS is good for scouting and keeping track of wallows and things. Check your regs in your state though. Colorado doesn't even allow a pin light on your site. The range finder from leupold that mounts on your bow, think its the vendetta??? Is illegal too. Just about anything that uses a battery on your bow is not allowed here. Good binos has made an big difference for me. It's amazing how much more game I see now.

As we all know, almost evryone is using added technology for the hunt. From the bow and arrow we use to the clothes we wear, we are consumers of added technology. I thought I had experienced it all when I got my first bow with wheels and attached front and rear sights. I had arrows with screw in points too, even though the nocks were still glue on. Back when that stuff came out I wondered if technology could advance bow hunting any more I thought we have arrived. Now my concern is that new technology is going to be our downfall. Even so, I love my range finder and gps. Maybe I will have ozonics in the future. BTW what is ozonics? It sounds like some electronic gadgit or new exercise program.

GPS for me. I shoot a recurve instinctively and use wood arrows and old bear greenie broadheads :D . If I trusted my map reading skills more I probably won't even have GPS.

GPS and range finder for me. I do hunt with a modern loaded compound rather than my long bow.
