Pocatello Idaho elk migration

We have had a light winter
I heard it through the grapevine a few weeks ago that a lot of elk had moved in.
Soduring my morning drive about scouting ducks and geese I sometimes slipped over the burm to check on the elk.
2 years ago because of deep snows we had the first major elk migration since 1958 into the Pocatello area.
And this year the elk seemed to like it.
Today on our way north towards Idaho falls just out of Pocatello there were 1100 elk that I could see from I-15 a few miles further there was probably another 400. miles further another 200 .
now that is just what I saw from the freeway
