Tracks no tracks

[nearly 10:00 a.m..
I just finished checking out an 8 mile stretch of Forest Service road through a migratory elk corridor.
Great tracking conditions from the snow last Friday.
In the 8 Mile stretch of road, I've seen plenty of Fox and coyote tracks crossing the road. Weasel and Martin, red squirrels track too, down by the creek an otter had run up and down the creek and so had a red fox.
And it looks like the buck that I've been hunting for at the end of the season survived. He had worked his way down the hill out of his timbered hidy Hole
But not a single track from an elk.

I got to go check out another part of the unit I'm sure it's been hunted hard and if it's only the local elk in there that might be a waste of time also
