Today's plan?

Saturday night we hunted into an area we expected elk.
in some old growth fir, dark timber.
Juliw and Andrew ended up bumping the elk. The bulls pushed the cows to another basin.
Last night I found the herd in the other basin at sunset. At dark I could hear elk had moving back towards the other basin.

This morning I was packed and ready to dive in as soon as I heard a bugle.
Never heard a bugle.


Since we all have antelope tags this year.
I thought of going glass in the area for antelope.
Out in the middle of the sagebrush on BLM land eight cows and two bulls.
New plan for today's hunt.

I never did see the elk bed but the bulls were trying their darnest to keep the cows in one place..

So today's plan drive a ways, hike a ways and glass for
antlers above the sagebrush..
