RMEF Banquets

Has anyone been to a RMEF banquet? I have wanted to go, but curious on the experience. Just a way to rake in money, or a fun experience? There is one here in Indiana in a few weeks, with this being a Midwestern state, just wondering if it would be more lame....

I’ve enjoyed all the RMEF events I’ve attended over the years. Catered chow and some really great raffles and silent auction items. Give it a shot, it’s most certainly a worthwhile cause.

They are all different, completely depends on who is running the banquet

If you go, have a good time and keep your hands in your pockets unless you find something you just can't live without.

Lefty is right. Some have big extravagant banquets and others not so much.

RMEF generally has a little higher end stuff than some other banquets, but as stated, that can vary by who is putting it on. The national orgs (RMEF, PF, etc) have banquet packages that each chapter gets from the corporate office with typically high quality prizes. For example, Kenetrek Mountain Extremes are always there. Great cause, good prizes, what's not to like?
