Adams Park, CO

Postby TennMatt » 12 07, 2022 •  [Post 1]

I always put in for a 1st rifle tag in CO that includes the Adams Park and Saddle Mountain areas of Moffat County but didn't draw one this year. I am curious if anyone hunted up there this year as it was the site of the Rainbow Family gathering back June and July. If so can you share your observations of the area; how beat up was the land? Deer, elk, and bears still around?

Sometimes Rainbows trample where they are staying, and mess up the nearby towns. But once they are gone, their trach and toilets burned ; plants and animals come back .

I have not hunted Colorado, but I agree with Lefty. I worked on two ranger districts where the Rainbow family gathered and there was no impact on any elk hunting. They were a nuisance in the nearby town more than anything.
