Dad ; he's not big,

Postby Lefty » 09 13, 2022 •  [Post 1]

He's Huge!

That was my daughters report. She had done her due dilgence, and was 20 yards away when the bull bedded.
After a few minutes a concerned cow ran the herd off.

This morning we were on Mr. Big before sunrise. However the elk were in the open instead of the timber
The morning winds were fickle. We had a single cow feed within 30 yards. Eventually the wind was good, but the elk wanted to move faster than we could.
I was afraid to do any cow or bull sounds in the open country.
Anyway the herd walked away

So far so good! If you keep having days like that you’ll be killing elk. Good luck!
