Just Three More Days

There are only three more full days left before I head out for elk camp. Everything is nearly packed and ready to be loaded in the truck and trailer. I will miss all of you jerks, but duty calls. I hope many of you have filled your tag before I get back. RJ and Indian Summer can probably keep the asylum going while I am gone. It is a big job. Good hunting to all.

Thanks all.
My season starts the 27th, but I am taking my grandson scouting and camping. He is very special to me, and I look forward to camping with him. He will stay one week only. Soon he will need to work through the summer, so this may be our camp out last together. Then there are the elk that look forward to fooling me again and getting a good laugh at my expense. I hate those critters.

I am doing more prep work today. There is a big pot of chili in the slow cooker right now. I have gone over my camp list a couple of times, but still wonder if I will forget something.

Alright you jerks; I am back. As predicted, I did forget something important. I did not put my boots in with my other gear. Fortunately, I got them before the season started. I finished my hunt Sunday by shooting a nice 5X5 bull. I will post something including a picture soon.
