back from WY

Postby Billy Goat » 10 24, 2021 •  [Post 1]

Our group of 8 just got back from a GEN unit in WY.

this was our first year to hunt WY. After a LOT of prep work and planning, we had a great time with huge success (see Meat Pole). we brought home 5 elk. 7 of the 8 had opportunities over the 8 days of time in the mountains.

best part was that my son (17) and his buddy (18) both killed their first elk on this trip after 3 years of hard effort. we're very fortunate and very thankful to have seen them blossom in camp.

also great that we (again) had 3 generations in camp with my dad, myself, and my son. This window will be brief, so I'm thankful to have already taken full advantage of it.

teach them second to love their family
and third, teach them to hunt and fish,
and by the time they reach their teens, no dope peddler under the sun will ever teach them anything".
