Nice pictures Rangerz. Do you have a good tree there for a stand?

All kinds of trees would work. A lot of Ponderosa Pine in the area.

Thinking about picking 1 or 2 up for this hunt.

Keep your trail camera working there and lets see what happens. My favorite tree stand is the Millennium M100. It is comfortable, quiet and easy/safe to hang. They are not cheap, but you can just buy an extra hanger and it is fairly easy to move your stand around. I have three of them and that may be all I take hunting again this year.

June pic at a mineral lick.

Anybody care to make an educated guess how big he will get?

It won’t be an educated guess. More I throwing the dart at the board not knowing anything about the bulls in your area so I’m going to say anywhere from 280-350... that should be safe ;)

313... now you have to kill him to prove me wrong 8-)

I hope to see him this fall!

Northern Arizona. Same unit as the Pope and Young world record Non Typical elk came from. A lot of 320 to 350 bulls in the unit. An occasional 360 to 380 shows up.

Hoping for some monsoon rains to start soon. Still a lot of green feed in the unit and plenty of water.

Come on September!

I do not think he will be that big of a bull. The main beams and tines are basically formed. They will grow out some, but not that much. I don't think he will go over 260. As Elkhunttoo said, "kill him to prove me wrong."
