500+ Bull Elk?

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 11 21, 2016 •  [Post 1]

A friend from work sent me this link as she knows I'm an elk hunter. Quite the beast of a wapiti for sure (regardless of where/how it was taken) ;)

Is that thing real? Or a figment of my imagination?

It's real just high fence. Several of these get passed around each year and they all have a very similar look, and no story.

Agree. Not sure why the "hunter" even put on camo. Nothing good comes from behind the High Fence.

Shot in 2014 I believe is when it was, broad mouth canyon elk ranch in Idaho. A trophy bull hunt up to 330" is $6400 plus $688 tag, an upgrade trophy 330"-"360 is $8400 plus tag. And there upgrade + hunt of the biggest bulls in the world is a call for pricing. 10,000 acres of high fence elk hunting. But it is a very fair chase type of hunt. Sure you remember this elk from a few years ago as well

There is a number of elk ranchers in the area that produce most of those new records.Amazing really.

One High fence to the south of Broadmouth is 3200 acres Steep and thick. On that ranch they average time spent to kill an elk is over 3 days.
While I public land hunt, I believe high fence outfits serve a need for some
