Funky two point bull

For each of the past three Saturdays Ive been seeing about 100 elk each time out, most of them in different areas

Yesterday while I was"bear hunting" (another term for bumming around in elk country) I watched a bull that still had his right antler . Kind of funky looking. about 32 inches tall, and thin, split the last 5 inches. I Hanging out with 20 cows and calves.

In the past, I have seen quite a few spikes ( or I guess you could call them forkhorns or 2 pointers too) this late in the spring. I don't think those young bulls now enough to knock those old antlers off.

Of course where I live, it has been snowing for three days and we have about 10" of snow on the ground. Spring isn't here yet

I got snowed on yesterday afternoon. I still couldn't get above 6800 feet with the ATV. the elk were 1000 feet higher but nothing remotely looks like spring, except for some male grouse strutting their stuff.
