Foundation for Wildlife Management Dinner

Postby ishy » 01 25, 2016 •  [Post 1]

Foundation for Wildlife Management is having a fundraiser February 13th (great valentines date!) in Sandpoint, Idaho. This group is doing great boots on the ground work to make a real difference in the wolf battle. They reimburse hunters for the expenses of hunting/trapping wolves from December to March. They realized pretty quick that trapping was the only real effective way to control wolves and that trapping is extremely expensive. So now we have a way to support those that are making a difference for all of us. Most of us aren't in a position to be serious trappers, and this gives us a way to help those that are able and willing to do the work. Their fundraisers are lots of fun with great raffles including guns, getaways, décor, a day in the field with one of their more experienced trappers, etc... Even if you can't make the dinner it's a great cause to support financially. If wolves haven't hit your area yet this is a way to help slow the overwhelming expansion that we've seen around the west.
