Eagle's Nest Wilderness

Looking to do an early season bow hunt in the Eagle's Nest Wilderness area and trying to get some input from anybody willing. I did a weekend hunt there a couple years ago so I'm not going in blind but would like to increase my odds this time around. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. My brother form Ohio is coming out so would like to provide him a great hunting trip. The plan is to get deer tags as well since they appear to not be too difficult to get. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Update: Does anyone have more insight in the Slate Creek Drainage or Boulder Creek Drainage?
