Pack Weight; Whats in your pack?

So I'm going through my list and still have a couple items to add. I will be packing in a few miles this year. I'm quite pleased with weight minus water and my Taurus. It came in just shy of 22lbs. The only other items to add are extra baselayers, a shirt or 2, socks, rain gear, a few meals and my headlamps and calls. I think I'll be around 30 lbs or so without water. How much weight will you be toting?

Im setting a little heavier than that...im at 40# total...we are packing in 3 days at a time.....id like to drop a few pounds, but im really down to necessities! Tent, cot, calls bino, range, gopro accessories, food, light, sleep bag, phone(gps) 2 extra batteries, clothing light, rain, small single burner, water....hopefully dont forget anything

Paul, I will be taking my RV and using as a "refueling" station. I am going to hike in about 3 miles and set up camp. I'm planning on staying out 3-4 days at a time. This will increase my range and I can hunt back to restock. I hunted this unit a couple years ago and just gaining that 3 miles in will work to my advantage and allow me to sleep with the elk and increase my range.

With a gallon water bladder, I'm shooting for 50#'s but I haven't loaded my gear up yet to find out. I've upgraded some gear this year and it also depends on which shelter I'll take and if I need the stove.

Quite a bit of gear for day tripping but I can sustain myself for quite some time if I had to.

That's pretty much exactly what I have in my pack other than a tent, sleeping bag and extra clothes. Right now my pack is about 45lbs without water and a few other food items. We also have a "base camp" we hunt out of and then if we run into too many other hunters or there are not the elk we expected, we pack in about 3 1/2 miles and plan for about 3 days.

65#'s of s**t equals a happy wife and a happy life. I weighed the pack before we left the house and it was at 40lbs. Add in a gallon of water, flyrod,tripod, 10# tent and an extra sleeping pad and food that my wife didn't want to carry and I think I was at 65lbs. On my hunt, I should easily be at 50lbs with water, probably less since I'll be carrying a lot less stuff.
