Elkwoods Tale of the Tape #1

What do you see and hear in this clip? Interpreting elk vocalization, body language, and situational manneurisms is pretty darn important for our success in the elkwoods. What do you see/hear in this clip and what is your understanding of what is occurring?

Cool stuff. A cow bulging saying "I'm over here" quite emphatically. Maybe she's lost or separated from the herd?

The first thing that sprang into my mind is that she is agitated. She doesn't like something. This is just a guess, but is she expecting to see an elk in front of her where she is staring? Is she telling them to show themself kinda like a nervous grunt? I am not sure, looking forward to the answer.

I heard a bugle before she did hers, I would say that she has responded to, and with a location bugle, but she is defenitly nervous about something to the right of the camera, she is almost always looking off to the right, might be another person that got busted, but she is defenatly nervious I think.

She looks agitated and really expecting an elk to be to be in front of her, to the right of the camera. It also looks to me as if there are elk behind her by the way she looked back, is that where the first bugle came from? Would she be doing a location bugle? I cannot tell bugles apart by sound as of yet. :(

She's the lead cow and has gone ahead of the pack to check something out. The bull bugled in the background and she is saying, "Hey, it's my job as the lead cow to check suspicious stuff out, STFU!"
