Arizona 15a, b, 18a

Postby NTXhunter60 » 04 27, 2015 •  [Post 1]

I've never been elk hunting before but was fortunate to have drawn a late season rifle tag. To say I am excited is an understatement!

I am looking for any insight into this area as far as terrain goes

Also looking for any general elk hunting knowledge that people would be happy to share.

Thanks in advance

I would probably concentrate on 15 A and 18A. Lot of thick Junipers in 15A up high. A lot of the elk live on the reservation ($16,000 per hunt). You can get a trespass permit from the Reservation game office that will allow you access to the back side of 15A.

18 A has some isolated water that might be good. Google earth would be your friend here. There are also some game tanks on Crozier ranch.

Good Luck!
