I did a short labor day hunt last fall in Colorado. This was my first solo elk hunting trip, but not my first elk hunt. It was a great experience. I think these pics tell the story best.

3 miles into the wilderness at 10,500 ft I set up camp the evening before the opener.

I called this bull in with two cow calls after I smelled him up the hill above me. Took him about 30 minutes to come in.
