Non Hunter treking along Wyoming

Postby Ghost » 01 22, 2015 •  [Post 1]

We might have a forth with us during our Wyoming elk hunt, she would be not participating in the hunt, except maybe to take photographs, given how messed up some game laws can be I thought Id check on the legality of this. Is it legal to have a non hunter there during the hunt? Also would it be legal for them to assist in the pack out if needed?

No laws that a non hunter can accompany you or help with meat removal. Have them take lots of photos. It can be boring at times for the non hunters especially if they don't always accompany you in the field. I suggest talking to them about doing a write up and documenting the experience. If you have a video camera, have them put together a story line of the trip.

She would be considered no more than a hiker would be. Obviously she wouldn't want to be packing a bow! (grin) I like James's thoughts as well.
