Anyone else feel the season went to fast?

As I sit here thinking about the season, it feels like it was a blur. Now this was only my second trip West, and although successful I wonder if some of you guys get bummed like me that its over? My question here is how many of you guys hunt multiple states?
Although not really plausible for me yet, I bet its nice having multiple seasons to look forward to!

How many of you guys change locations every year? Even if your successful in an area do you guys try other places just for the challenge of it all? Paul you make it sound like you hit the same area every year. Obviously it pays off, because you guys are constantly knocking down elk. Just wondering your thoughts?!

It's always over too fast! Can't wait until next September. Unless I were to draw a really good Arizona tag, or a California tag, one state is it. If Idaho offers the discount on the second tag again next year, I will buy 2 tags though. Being able to call for others, after my bull was taken care of, makes it seem like I am still hunting, and at least I am still in the elk woods.

I always find new places on a map or scouring google earth that I go check out. BUT I hate giving up a big chunk of time to hunt these new areas. I might go for a day trip or a 2 day trip but plan longer stays in the areas that have always been productive for me. If one of these new places have a ton of elk or deer then I'll stick with them but it's a slow learning process even if I do spot game on those short trips. Where do they go when pressured? Where do they like to bed? Where do they like to feed, water, etc???

Whereas I know a lot of these things in the spots I go year after year! BUT I just can't get away from exploring new places and trying to find that magical area with giant bulls and no hunters (I don't think it exists anymore)

I guess I have not given up on the new area with no hunters. I have my eye on the perfect hunting area for next year, can't wait until elk season gets here. Did it go by too fast? Yea , I was really into them at the last of the season.

Due to a new job I had a very quick season with days hunting spread out. It went quicker than usual but was more action packed this year. Always leaves you hungry for more.

Way to short!!!! For family reasons we had to come home early. Hunted for 2 1/2 days drove for 2 day. We well get them next year. Did happen to find another valley with a bunch of bulls in it.

Yes, it seems to come & go quicker the older I get! (grin) I truly enjoy all the prep for opening day but when I hunt most of the last two weeks it's nice to have a break! But once a few days go by I wish I could do it all over again! Come On Sept!! (grin)

I never have enough hunt time. This year was a marathon. hunt Friday evening and all day Saturday, and a couple Mondays, then repack all the gear to be ready on Fraday. Work has been a bit crazy too.
I was too busy, so time went fast

It definitely went by too quickly, despite more days in the field than any other prior years. I came up empty filling the tag but learned a lot and became more confident with my bow. This was my first season archery hunting and although I didn't kill an elk, I did successfully fill one of my mule deer doe tags with my bow. The countdown to the 2015 season is officially underway. ..
