Warm Weather Hunting?

I am new to hunting western Montana and have been looking over weather trends in Sept over the last couple years. I had initially thought a good week to go archery in western MT would be Mid September, say around Sept 13th-20th and the rut would just be getting started and cooler days were just beginning. But after seeing how warm it was last week up there I was thinking maybe going late Sept is better. This is more for determining a hunting dates for the coming years, opposed to this year, but I plan 1-2 years out so like to nail down a week this far in advance.

Does anyone know if it has been this warm in Mid September over the last couple years and seems to be staying warmer later in Sept nowadays?

Or would you say that it is so unpredictable and its hit and miss with these warm days in Sept that archery hunting the week of Sept 13th-20th (or around there) each year is a safe bet to stick with?

Hunting in the Mountains during the month of September is unpredictable. Early, Mid and even late September I have had snow storms hit.
It snowed in the month of August this year in some areas and when I was out there the first 12 days of the season we had a foot of snow to deal with. It depends even on the part of the range you are hunting...... The elk hunting didnt get any better with cold temps either. There are a lot of other factors that play a part IMO.

The weeks ago in SE Idaho we set a record low of 24 degrees, killed all the tomatoes.
Then last week we set a new record high of 94 degrees
I will say in my area temps have been cooler the past three years.
