Postby powderhogg01 » 09 21, 2014 •  [Post 1]

my peep slight moved while out hunting i did nt catch it until i sent an arrow over the top of a cow. any suggestions for fixing this issue, I do not have serving string or access to a bow shop, any alternatives?

get it back to where it needs to be. then get creative. dental floss works great for makeshift serving. if not braided fishing line, or any other thin thread like material you can find. and tie it in. if nothing available just move it back and make sure you are careful!! I mark the center point of my peep on the string for this very reason. good luck!

I tied fly tying thread on as tightly as I could onto the serving line that was there. I then added a drop of arrow fletching glue to each knot and dressed it up with some wax. It was been a rough season full of misses.. missed the muley of a lifetime opening day, it all makes sense.. as the sight had moved a good distance. I noticed it shooting, but in the moment I just moved my head, thinking i was just overly excited. should have checked this 3 weeks ago.

You can pull Paracord apart and use the small inner fibers for serving after you get it back in place. If you have any.

Good Luck.
