Kremmling Wild Game Meat processor

Postby Colopioneer » 08 31, 2014 •  [Post 1]

Long time lurker. You all have given me great guidance over the years. I hunt near Kremmling and recently learned Kremmling Wild Game changed hands and is now named Troublesome Meat Co. I'll be hunting 2nd rifle and would love to hear some feedback on this outfit. I've always loved the work of Kremmling Wild Game and want to love the new guys in town!

Defintly don't want to down a bull on day one of the season and have to drive hours to get it hanging in a locker.

Since the change of ownership is recent it will probably be hard to get any feedback until the end of this season. Why don't you see if you can get in touch with the previous owner and see what he has to say about the new guy.

Good luck and welcome to our humble happy home Pioneer.

Troublesome Meat just opened this weekend. Ted has retired but is on call and helping with the transformation in this first season.
I'm hoping the processing is just as good, as I have used Ted for the last 8 years.

Best of Luck this season

Trying to stay semi on topic with this - what would this guy charge you for an average sized bull? And what cuts would you tend to get for that price?

Standard cut, roast, steaks, burger on elk will run 180 -250. I did see a caping fee for mounting and a skinning fee if needed. If I recall this is about what Ted charged. I know I paid around 200 for the last couple of elk I took there. They were just average 5x5's
