How do pressure systems affect Elk?

I am sure it has been posted somewhere but can someone tell me how weather systems - high pressure / low pressure affect elk movement? If they dont that is ok too. I was just wondering if anyone had any insight.

Don Kloer of Deep Timber Sounds (hope I can say that name on this forum) advocates that air pressure really does matter. As restated by a reporter from one of his seminars: "When the barometric pressure falls between 25 and 29, elk vocalization heats up. Elk mostly shut-up if the barometer rises above 29. However, a heavy rainstorm will inhibit calling no matter what the barometer reads. Elk typically will hold up until it passes." I have experienced that in the field. As the pressure drops real low and a heavy weather system arrives, the elk talk less and as the pressure increases and the weather starts to clear, the elk talk more, but if the pressure continues to increase and the sky is clear, elk are less talkative. Kloer has stated a specific barometric pressure where that change happens. I don't carry a barometer with me, so the number doesn't matter to me. What does matter in his theory is that elk are more vocal when the pressure is lower than average, average pressure at sea level being 29.92, but pressure lowers with altitude and is affected by temperature and humidity. Also realize that a standard atmosphere at 4,500' of elevation is about 25. I don't claim to know much about atmospheric pressure, but I have experienced more vocalization when the pressure "appears" to me to be below average, but not too low.

A storm, switching from a low to very high system we always expected high levels of furbearer activity, tended to see more game all around.
But ,.. there are other variables. If the temps go from 90 to 50 I expect more movement too
