Internet Map showing private ground

Postby bcb10 » 08 04, 2014 •  [Post 1]

Are there any good maps that you can view on the internet that will show you the boundary lines for private ground?

Check out Xmaps but you will have to pay for them!

For Wyoming: http://wygl.wygisc.org/DataServer/ -- You'll have to manipulate the Map Layers / Downloadable Layers drop down menus. I always select Land Ownership and Sections. It'll show state in blue, BLM in yellow, and national forest in green. No color = private.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I am needing them for Colorado. Thanks.

Colorado's Hunt Atlas (http://ndis-flex.nrel.colostate.edu/HuntingAtlas/) works great. You can't see individual landowners but you can see where public ground is (which is the same as where private ground isn't...).

Try looking on the county website that you want to hunt. Looking for mapping or GIS links and look at parcel maps. Some that i have looked at have google earth overlays and some use the silverlight veiwer. Hope this helps

Just use the F&G hunt planner, then select the public land map as your basemap. If you need landowner names, you'll probably have to go to the county website and use the parcel map tool.

Or for any state, go to caltopo.com and select Land Management under layers. This link should pull up SW WA with land boundaries..... http://caltopo.com/map.html#ll=46.31331,-122.44271&z=10&b=t&a=sma
