Shuttle T broadhead

I have asked this question on othe forms with little responses. What are peoples experiences with Shuttle T broadheads. Any elk stories? I would like to hear about how there blood trails are. Thanks

No elk stories, however they are super accurate, the ferrules are tough and they penetrate like crazy, only draw back is the blades seem to get dinged up easily.

I'm trying them too for the 1st time this year. From what I've read, they're very accurate. A few people complained about weak blades, but the majority says they're durable. I guess we'll find out soon enough!

2012 I shot my bull at 65 yards, it went a couple jumps and went down, got up and flipped over backwards. Blood trail was good but bull died in sight. Went right through the bull and buried in the dirt. Head was in good shape.


2013 shot a bull at 18 yards and never recovered. I have no idea what happened. At the time I thought I made a great shot, turned out to not be true. Blood trail was very weak and disappeared after 100 to 120 yards. Never recovered arrow.

I do plan on shooting them again this year.

I think with a perfectly tuned bow, any good broadhead will group perfectly with field points. Problem is with me, either the bow, or more likely me is not in perfect tune (getting there, but not quite).

I compared these against my VPA 3 blade, and the Shuttle-T's are grouping pretty much right on with field points at 50 yards, where the VPA's are hitting a couple inches right and low fairly repeatably... So, comparison from someone who is an average shot, as of right now these are my BH of choice for this year... I think they have less wind resistance / leverage on an arrow that isn't flying perfectly straight, so tend to stay closer to your field points...

(Yes, still working on my tune to hopefully bring everything right to the same POI)
