NM Unit 52- inputs etc

OK drew Unit 52 first archery hunt. I have hunted the unit but years ago...Anyone hunted in the last few years can share thier expereiences etc??

Yes.... New Mexico...Unit 52

I hunt those unit 52 elk that wander into the unit to the north of there I know a couple guys that have hunted 52 and have killed elk. Good unit from everything I've heard.

I have hunted unit 52 the last 5 years but with a muzzleloader, with good success. A friend of mine has archery hunted it the last 2 years and its been terrible for him, the beef cows are still in the unit and the roundup doesnt start until the end of september, the elk seem to move in after the beef cows are out of the area, he`s even hunted the wilderness and had to deal with the cows in there also. My advice to you is to hunt the deep canyons in the wilderness area .
