colorado unit 61

I am looking for information on Colorado unit 61. I will draw an archery tag there next season and want to start scouting. It's a big area so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I know a good bit ab the unit. You must have ALOT of points! I'd say 20+. Cnelk knows this area too. He took a really nice bull there in 2012.

I am a resident and I have 17 points. Any ideas?

17 pps should get you there. In '13, one resident w 17 pps was the highest applicant for EE06101A. I hunted 61 3x during rifle season, on the south side of Mesa Creek Road. Based on that and some scouting, I would say the souther you go, the better it gets. Be prepared to hunt in oak brush. It will be worth the wait

Thanks. I'm headed over there in a couple of weeks and I will check out south of Mesa Creek Road. I've hunted in oak brush a lot so I know what to expect in that regard.
