I just got my play book and read it for the first time. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot along with the sounds by elk what I'm learning from this forum Is making more sense.

I reread it during every season. Not that everything is "new" but a great reminder when certain situations may work best after experiencing them

The Playbook is one of the things that keeps me fired up

there is definitely a lot of elk language and situations in there. I re-read it occasionally to further embed some of that information into my head. For now I'm concentrating on only a few of the key calls and set ups but I hope, with the extra knowledge, to recognize situations in the forest when they happen.

You guys are welcome! You have the right mindset in its use too! It's not for memorizing it's for recalling events as they unfold. Taking out 2 or 3 that seem to fall into place where you hunt is a very good idea. Once accustomed to those & their best time of use you can then add a couple more methods of use until you eventually have a wide range of tricks &Tactics to pull from depending on the encounter!
