Here is a little video that c2 put together from our hunt this year. c2 will also be posting up the write up with more pictures and details as well in the next couple of days. I hope you enjoy it.

Cool clip Craig. That C2 can sure put together some nice video. Love the bugle tube color... you won't lose that one on the forest floor ;) Silly elk, they kicked my butt this year also. Thought it was gonna be an off the hook season till the nasty weather hit and they almost completely shut up till the day I left.

Nice vid. I should do more riding to get in for elk hunting, but it seems like whenever you plan something, the elk have other plans and you don't come out where you expect and then you have to go back and get your bike.

Yes c2 did a great job, its some what of a art to put it all together IMHO. That bull in the video was only 10 yards from him but the wide angle camera makes them look farther, pretty cool to say the least.

RJ, we were only about 20-30 miles away from you this year and yes the weather put quite the damper on things all though we had some opportunities. We called in several bulls this year. Including a club by 6 I'm sure that will be in the write up.

The bikes can come in handy at times and can be a pain in the arss at times as well. Sometimes we have to hike back in the next day or two just to retrieve them. We don't usually get to use them much, but it is nice when we can.

I'm looking forward to his write up and pictures as I don't usually see them until it's done and posted!

I think he calls that tube big pink..lol

Nice Video. Elk and Mother Nature got the best of us as well.

Funny how I still wish I was out there getting my a$$ kicked!

The weather certainly provided its' own challenges this year. One of the wetter seasons I can remember. We had one day when we couldn't raise any responses, and one other where the only response we got was from a pack of large canines. Can't say this season was a grand success, but we were out of the office and in the trees -- certainly can't categorize that as unsuccessful!

Punched tag or no, I usually put together a little photo journal of each hunt. Haven't done that here before due to the photo size restrictions. I'll fiddle with compressing the images and see about putting something up. May have to settle for just a blog link..

RJ,
Yes, tough to lose Big Pink in the woods! Also not too concerned about anyone walking off with that tube... ; )

Cheers,
-c2

With the off season and Steve's video I thought I would bring this back up to remember September and chasing bulls.

Thanks flystraight for sharing the video. It's not where or how I hunt, but still gets the elk hunting juices flowing again.

x2 on the nice vid. we are hoping to use bikes to get in farther from the trail head, where we are going. luckily we have supportive wifes that want to take a summer family trip to Yellowstone so we can get a couple of days of scouting in. we also did this when we went to Colorado for the first time. I keep trying to convince myself on getting a gopro, but I end up needing new gear first....
