Here is another one guys.
This is a proven area.

Where would you hunt?

I would try and hunt the area I outlined in red first. The area with the blue hash lines through it is a canyon that I don't think elk would travel if they don't have to, which I would think would force them to travel to the north side of the 10186' peak. The area I put an "X" on could be a possible bedding location if they were traveling down from the higher country (east), down to the creek drainage, circled in yellow (West), and needed to bed for a while mid morning before moving back up to the higher elevations to cool off if it was early season and the temps were up there. Even if it's not exceptionally warm, I think this would be a good spot to catch them either traveling or bedding.

You did very well!
As you can see from the aerial, there is a natural funnel around that '3 pronged' clearing.
Thats where the elk traverse back and forth.
The blue circle is a creek that is a good way to access the area.
There is hunting pressure along and above the pack trail

I didn't comment but again, this is great info. I had picked out the same area as the blue circle Mikeha33 placed on the map. That is where I had picked to start scouting/investigating the area.
