RMEF: Rocy Mountain Elk Foundation. Join before year end if you are not a member. Make a contribution if you already belong. Tax deductible! RMEF is very active in preserving and improving elk habitat, educating the public, opening public access to hunters, advocay/lobbying on behalf of elk. The organization really makes a difference on the ground in elk hunting states. Administrative overhead is low, almost all $$ raised goes to benefit elk and habitat. Members receive 6 issues of Bugle magazine/year, which is a great read. Borrow one from a buddy if you haven't seen it. Google RMEF.org.
