Planning a SW Montana trip

I've been doing some research on line for the trip a buddy and I are taking to Mt next year. I think, I've narrowed it down to starting in Ennis,Dillon or Twin Bridges. I was wondering if any one had some info on these areas? Are there elk around on public land? Will we see more wolf tracks then elk? I'm just in the beginning stages so any info is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

These areas can be extremely weather dependent as they are local migration destinations out of the park. PM me some more questions or details if you want.

If I had to pick from those it would be the Dillon area but you won't be alone. A little research & leg work though and you should be able to find a place to call your own. Longdraw will have some info worth looking at so listen up. Good luck.
