Due to the recent flooding, you'd be best to avoid the Front Range altogether, especially the Northern corridor. I-70 may be OK but it will be receiving extra traffic. Don't even think about going through Fort Collins, you'll need to go up to Wyoming to go West from there.

Current closures include the following highways locations (subject to change as the day progresses):
- I-25 from Hwy 7 (north of Denver) to Highway 14 (Ft Collins) closed due to flooding. (Closure expanded!)

- I-25 NB & SB ramps to Hwy 119 (Milemarker 240) closed because of flooding and severe weather.

- US 36 (Boulder Turnpike) EB closed at Foothills Parkway

- US 36 WB closed at Interlocken Loop.

- I-70 WB at Beaver Brook (Milemarker 248) due to multiple rockslides.

- I-70 EB Quebec off ramp (Milemarker 278) closed because of flooding and severe weather.

- I-70 WB off ramp to Peoria St. (Milemarker 282) closed due to flooding.

- I-70 EB ramp to SB I-225 closed due to heavy flooding in area.

- CO 8 between Hwy 285 & Morrison closed because of flooding and severe weather.

- US 6 Vasquez Blvd from 60th Ave. to 74th Ave due to flooding.

- US-24 closed in both directions from Cascade to Manitou Springs because of a flash flood warning.

- US 34 closed from Devils Backbone to Estes Park because of flooding and severe weather.

- US 36 closed from Boulder to Estes Park due to flooding. The road has been washed away at Longmont Dam Road, according to the Boulder County Sheriff.

- US 287 at the Big Thompson River in Loveland due to flooding in the area.

- CO 7 Lyons to Estes Park due to flooding.

- CO 14 closed from Ted's Place to Walden.

- CO 44/104th Ave at Riverdale Rd. closed because of flooding and severe weather.

- CO 52 Eastbound US 287 - CR 1 closed because of flooding and severe weather.

- CO 66 Between 53rd Street and Lyons closed because of flooding and adverse conditions.

- CO 66 CR 13 to CR 19 (Between I-25 & US 85) closed because of flooding and adverse conditions.

- CO 72 closed from Ranch Elsi Rd. to Blue Mountain Rd. in Coal Creek Canyon due to flooding. Jefferson County officials said the highway is washed out. The closure starts at Skyline Drive. Closure began at 12:57 a.m.

- CO 72 closed near Allenspark because of rock slide. Closure began at 10:27 a.m.

- CO 72 closed 72nd Ave - 80th Ave closed due to flooding.

- CO 83/Parker Rd. from Jewell Ave. - Florida Ave. closed due to flooding and road damage in the area.

- CO 93 from 64th Ave. - CO Hwy 128 closed due to flooding in the area.

- CO 119 Boulder Canyon (Milemarker 41-26) closed because of rock slide.

- CO 119 -- County Line Rd to I-25 (Milemarker 59-63) closed because of flooding and severe weather. -

- CO 265 Northbound / Southbound Brighton Blvd Colorado Blvd (Milemarker 2-3) closed because of flooding and severe weather.

- CO 402 Eastbound / Westbound US 287 - I-25 (Milemarker 1-4) closed because of flooding and severe weather.

- US 24 in Manitou Springs reopened Friday at 5 a.m.

I had decided to go home tomorrow via 70 and now the rockslides make that dicey.

The smart hunters stayed home.

I have been in Golden all week. I have never seen so much rain in my life. There were numerious multi-hour sessions where I sat looking out my window at work and could not see the adjacent building 40 feeet away due to the rain. The parking lot was flowing 3 feet deep on several occasions. Unbelievable. I have a couple buddies trapped elk hunting in the high country as they can't cross the little streams locking them in. I suspect it will be a LONG night spaning multiple days before they get out.

the scene in my profile pic is the area i get to hunt,I'm ready. Going solo and I think I'm getting pretty psyched .I am gonna venture out beyond my comfort zone some and hoping that I will even do an overnight away from my main camp if I think it would be beneficial.
