When do you Leave

My hunt opens on the 30th….i plan on hunting that day and on and off between work for the first 2 weeks….i will mainly be hunting the second half of the season but if it happens one a day i can go in the first half i will take it.

When do you all head out for your hunt?

I’m leaving the end of next week; can’t wait to get back in the elk woods .

I plan to leave for camp next Tuesday (August 26th). I do not have a return day picked. Every day out will be precious. I thank the Lord and my wife for every day I can be camping and hunting in such a marvelous place.

Im ll head up a couple more times before I pull my camper up on Saturday the 30th.
I do need to make a few "{seats and clear some shooting lanes in locations I plan to solo hunt from,,,
I need to pull another camera, replace some SD cards
My camp site is prepped. Tire holes,toilet and gray water pits are dug deeper , Sage brush removed
Ill need a day or two early t and put up a solar motion light entering into camp , place rodent bait
Haul up the grill and toilet,

Leaving 29th to hunt the opener and first week. Never hunted the opener which is also a holiday week and going into the full moon. Trying to stay optimistic lol.

I’m in Wyoming now. Raining the next 2 days so that’s slowing us down. But with no tags it doesn’t matter. Just hiking and checking on some high country gear. Spent the last 3 days in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Good luck to everyone!

I decided to pack A bunch of items in our little 5x8 trailer then haul it up tomorrow. Pull the trail cams,

Leaving Saturday morning. Legal shooting time is 6:03 Monday morning. Packing for 10 days and we'll see what happens. I can always head down the mountain to resupply. Good luck everyone!
