Where oh where

Postby Elkhunttoo » 05 04, 2022 •  [Post 1]

My main question that has been going through my head this off-season is where do I want to put my tree stand.

I have 2 good water spots…
2 decent wallow spots with bedding near by and lots of good trails
And 3 main bedding areas

All of these areas I have hunted the last 3 years and had trail cams in…they are all fairly equal in the amount of pictures per season. From my pickup to hike the circle and hit all of the spots is around a 3-4 mile loop with access forge too and bottom.

Where oh where do I put my stand…where ever I put it i feel like I need to be consistent in sitting it and success will come my way.
Also one other tiny little factor…I really want to shoot a nice bull…I have passed up several decent opportunities at cows and small bulls the last few years because I would really like to get a nice bull with my bow. I can’t say I haven’t had my opportunity’s at some good bulls because I have…I just haven’t capitalized yet

Place your stand in the place you like the best, and place a trail camera at the other two. Here is the one sure thing I can just about guarantee: You will wish you had placed your stand at one or the other locations. lol

For sure! I will have trail cameras on all the locations again this year…from last years data all areas are fairly close in total opportunity’s…I just know that when I sit I will want to be at the other area…I’m pretty sure I’m just going to pick the one I have liked the best since we found it and stick with it
