2023 WapitiTalk Christmas Gift Exchange

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 11 03, 2023 •  [Post 1]

I participate in one of these over on Hunting Washington and its always a blast. Let's see what kind of participation we get here on WapitiTalk.

The 2023 WapitiTalk Christmas Gift Exchange. I want to start early so I can get the list out at convenient time, that will give participants time to send and receive. We need to keep this moving to make sure everyone gets taken care of before Christmas.

Rules:
1. All participants must be recent posters to the Forum with a minimum of 5 posts prior to this post.
2. To sign up, simply reply to this post "(your forum handle) is in." For example: "elkhunter22 is in".
3. Sign up final day is December 6th at midnight.
4. I will use a random generator to pick who gets whom for the swap on December 7th and post up the list.
5. Each person will be responsible for the next person on the list. The last person on the list will provide for the first person on the list.
6. Gifts must be sent no later than the December 15th.
7. The value of the gift should be at least $25 and need not be hunting-related. Home-made gifts are fine also.
8. Once you've made contact with your gift recipient, post again. Once you've shipped, post again. Once you've received your gift, post again.
9. If you cannot complete exchange after opting in because of family or financial issues, please notify me so we can work it out.

Let's go!

Ok, I see nobody is interested. Too bad, it’s a good thing, a fun thing, you’re missing out on. I’ll kill the thread tomorrow.

Its not so much that im against the concept of giving somebody here a gift. But im terrible at that kind of thing, and thinking of something good would stress me out, and above all i hate having to figure out how to box something up and then deal with the most dreaded thing of all, going to the post office. Havning to come up with christmas gifts for my parents who live nearby is bad enough. My siblings live out of state so i never send them anything. Although my brother regularly sends me a christmas present, i believe just to make me feel guilty.

No worries, it’s not gonna work here. I won’t bring this topic up again; WT is obviously not the place for this type of thread/activity. r/RJ
