Anniversary gift?

Postby Tigger » 01 13, 2017 •  [Post 1]

I noticed that yesterday was my 2nd Anniversary on Wapiti Talk. However, my anniversary gift didn't arrive in the mail. I will be sure to check the mailbox today!

Update: A carload of high school kids just came skidding around the corner and took out my mailbox. Hopefully, my mail lady brings the package up to my door. Doubt it would have fit in the mailbox anyway!

Those weren't high school kids. That was Rory, Lefty, Indian Summer and Trophyhill, in the "WT Lear Jet." You might want to avoid home on your 3rd anniv

At least they now know where I live and can pick me up when I need it. I thought they were kinda skinny little runts to be high school students. Now I understand!

I still remember opening my W.T. anniversary gift. The W.T. decal was great, but the package of dried elk poop was a not so subtle reminder there may be better things to come. I did not get an elk, and I still remember what they look like, and what kind of sign they leave, so I know RJ really wants me to keep looking ahead to archery season.
RJ's idea was to keep me focused and following the talk here. Maybe just maybe it is also a reminder for all of us. Don't tell RJ but the poop got me thinking about hunting more than the decal did. :D
BTW: Maybe you do not get an anniversary gift if you got a decal when you joined. I guess??
