anyone ever use a Hitch reciever basket?

bad idea? solid plan? the ones i see are always tweaked and crooked..

I have a friend that has used one for a long time, and thinks its great. He said you have to be careful when you go into a dip our start up a steep hill because it will drag.

I drive a jeep patriot, so I use carrier a lot. It's great!

I considered one for this season as well, but I think I can get away with just the cartop carrier.

I like the hitch carrier more than a roof top carrier. It's easier to load and (I assume) doesn't hurt my milage as much. Mine is almost a permanent fixture on my Jeep from Sept to December. Perfect for packing dead animals, bags of decoys, piles of wood, ice chests, whatever. I love it.

yep made one for my dodge durango works great for camping trips and such!
