Messing around

Postby >>>---WW----> » 08 20, 2012 •  [Post 1]

I finally found my USB cable and got some pictures of my latest knife uploaded to the computer. So now the next big challenge will be to see if I can download them to the forum. If this works, it will be a closeup of the engraving on the blade. If not, well, I'll keep trying. Wish me luck

OK, I think I got it. This should be a closeup of the engraving on the left side of the blade with an elk foot print on it.

Corky Johnson in Meeker, Colorado did the engraving. He showed me his Smith & Wesson that he did and I just had to have some of his work done on this knife. If any of you guys have ever thought about having a gun or knife engraved, give Corky a call at 970-878-4027.

Here is a picture of the right side of the blade. I think you can see why I made this one only for show. You'd spend a month of Sundays cleaning the blood out of all that engraving. LOL!

I forgot to mention that the handle is not finished yet. I haven't figured out just quite what I want to do with it yet. I'll probably place an elk ivory in the end(pomel) and maybe grind a finger notch just behind the hilt in the antler.

This is my carry knife. It is made of the same blade design as the engraved one. I don't mind getting blood on this one. It has see plenty of elk, deer, pronghorn, and hogs. And I plan on it sticling in a few more. It has an elk ivory in the end. I'll see if I can find a picture of that.

Those are great looking knives, do you do the engraving on the blades yourself.
How much does one of your knives cost if someone wants to buy one? :?:

Not real for sure, but I think this one was made for elknut. Paul, you can correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Bill, you've come a long ways in your knives, that's for sure! The first ones were nice, but these are downright handsome! And yes, I still have those handles you sent me and one of these days, probably when the kids are all in college, I'll have a few minutes to start working on them. :D
