Swerved !!! didn't want to run over his elk so he had to hit the ditch. If he's not in the vehicle, then he's on the trail looking for that bad boy.Let's hope

My wife and I came across a nice pair of biking gloves on the trail "cool $60.00 gloves"
We drove another 100 feet and I just about puked.
200 feet below us was what was left of a F-150
A couple had stopped at the top of a steep climb and parked, the truck had rolled down the hill with their kids in the truck
We picked up some of the kids toys we found strewn down the slope and put it in what was left of the cab.
those had to be horrifying moments for those parents

Children hurt in mishap: Two injured when truck careens down mountain slope By Jimmy Hancock jhancock@journalnet.com Idaho State Journal | 5 comments

Two children were seriously injured Sunday when a stationary older model pickup rolled down a hill in the Toponce Canyon area of Caribou County.

Deputy John Underwood of the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office, said the two children, one 11 years old and the other 3 years, were with three adults and the group was driving over the mountain when a vacuum hose failed and they stopped to make repairs.

As they worked to put the pickup on to blocks to make it easier to work on shortly before 4:30 p.m., the 3 year old was in the cab of the truck and the 11 year old was climbing into the truck bed.

“They were in the process of blocking the tires up and that’s when it began to roll,” Underwood said.

The 11 year old is believed to have suffered a broken collar bone in the initial moments of the incident. As the truck rolled down the hill, it hit a tree which tore off one of the doors. It was at that time that the 3 year old was ejected from the cab. He is believed to have possibly suffered internal injuries.

The 3 year old was taken to Portneuf Medical Center via LifeFlight, while the 11 year old was transported by ambulance. None of the adults were injured during the incident.

Because the incident happened just 1.6 miles into Caribou County and access to the area was much quicker for Bannock County emergency service, the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office handled the incident, Underwood said.
