Every once in awhile I get the urge to make a good hunting knife. I made one for Elknut and BowElkDown as well as a few other friends.Even sold a few.

This last one was the best yet. I liked it so well, that I went the extra mile and had the blade engraved. Only trouble with that is, it is just too dang nice to stick in an elk. It will probably spend it's live under glass and on display in the living room. I got the camera out today and took a couple of pictures to show you guys. But now I can't find the USB cable so I can upload them on the computer. Oh well. Maybe I'll find it someday!@#$%^

And to top it all off, today was the first day for my private land elk season and I didn't get to go. Another !@#$%^

WW, hope you find your usb cable. It may be pretty know but it would be down right beautiful with elk blood on it.
And shame on you for missing the first day of a private land elk hunt. You could of gotten that knive broken in.
I'm sure you had a good reason for missing it.

I do most of mine with either mulies or whitetail horn. really like the burl end & inlet ivories in most. Dont have pics of all of them, but here's a sample of one of the first I made.Thanks Bill for introducing me to a terrific hobbie that keeps me busy during the down times.I'll try to post another. Kinda struggling with downsizing the pics...Hope this works..
