I spent a week back in my homestate. spent a couple days at the National Trappers convention visiting old friends and my closest friends
Well Ive come back to Idaho and this week I feel like a beaver after the first ice up.
Im going crazey tring to get everything done. Im waking up before light, working like a mad man, and going to bed tired
All my elk gear is ready to go,.. A few things left that I want done before waterfowl season,.. canned some vegies from the garden, the yards perfect. The pasture is nearly pefect,.. there must be a gopher somewhere out there.
the garage and shop are clean. gone thru the PU and ATV, changed all the fluids and maintanace
I plan on trapping this year a bit,.. so I need to go thru all that gear,.. nothing a good long day wouldnt take-care of
20 more days
I feel like Ive been drink a 12 pack of Mt Dew
Who else is gets a fall rush?

All my gear is checked and double checked. My honey dew list is all most done, it would be done if she would stop adding to it. Yes i'm ready to throw my sleep bag down in my wall tent and get this ball to rolling. You would think after 30+ years of doing this I would stop actting like this is the first time I have ever got to go hunting. I Hope to God I never do.

ive had alot of personal stuff goin on this year thats killed my desire, but, im less than 4 weeks away from my first ever elk hunt and startin to get it. ordered a gps and backpacking tent last nite i prob shouldnt have so must be gettin me,lol.

I'm getting the feeling that 'something' is keeping me from getting totally ready for my archery elk hunt in 2 weeks.
I've been waiting for 4-5 months for the roofer to put a new roof on my house. So what happens Friday night?
He calls and says I'll be there Monday!

Well I tore off all the gutters yesterday [new ones after the roof]
Prepped the facia for new paint
Going to paint all the facia today

Last weekend my son's YZ 125 dirt bike engine blew up.
We tore that apart and out of the frame
Thats getting fixed

This week my daughter goes off to college
Lots to prepare for that

Good thing my elk gear is almost always ready to go!

Our elk hunting gear stays in the enclosed trailer until the next year, so everything should be OK.

It is my butt's gear that I have trouble with, but I am getting it ready too.

Still they crazey workouts. My gear is ready . But Im about worn out.
Started at 6:30 yeasterday.
My daughter asked about working on her l"new " Pickup a 91 Ranger. Started at 4:30 Pm and finished at midnight.
Im pulling the box blind out tomarrow and adding bug screen over the windows, then off to work

My battery wore out Tuesday. I went to bed before 10:00 PM and slept till 7:30
Up before sunrise today,.. Im a whole lot slower than earlier in the week, Killed the honey do list yesterday. A few hours at work, Installed a interior couple doorswith trim and paint prep, replaced floor trim and chair-rail built a welding cart.
Today my big challenge,.. my shoulder has been bad for 6 weeks. Im going to try to shoot some arrows today Heckl I might even go fishing
